Slow Cooker Holiday Wassail

Slow Cooker Holiday Wassail

I recently took a poll on Instagram to see how many of my followers have tried wassail before, I was blown away by the fact the majority didn’t even know what wassail was! I have defined wassail as citrus for the soul, it is really like consuming the Holidays. As the weather gets colder, this drink is the perfect immune booster because it is packed with vitamins + fruit. If you have a Holiday party planned this season, this is the drink you’ll want to serve.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 6 hours

Total Time: 6 hours and 10 minutes

Servings: 10 cups

Ingredients:

- 1/2 gallon of Apple Cider (Ryan’s Opal Apple Cider is the band I use, but any AC will work.)

- 2 cups of orange juice

- 1/4 cup of lemon juice

- 4 cinnamon sticks

- 12 whole cloves

- 1/2 tsp of ground ginger

- 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg

- 1 orange sliced

- 1 apple sliced

- 1 lemon sliced (optional)

- 1 cup of cranberries (optional)

Directions:

Mix all of those ingredients together (excluding the sliced fruit + cranberries) into the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Towards the end of cook time, garnish with wassail with the sliced fruit and cranberries. Serve with popcorn or any other Holiday treat and you will definitely be crowned the hostess with the mostest.
