Five Types Of Negativity To Leave In 2019

Five Types Of Negativity To Leave In 2019

I have some boss babe tough love truth to share, and I hope you will still love me after I tell you this simple fact: your 2020 will be the same as your 2019 if you do not make room for positivity and change some toxic mental habits. The anticipation of becoming a better person is always strongest in the last five days of the year, and with a new decade on the horizon, now is a better time than ever to get priorities in order and be the best version of yourself. Adapt these five life-changing mental concepts, and the 20s will be your best decade yet!

Perfectionism

Take it from an enneagram type one; perfectionism walks hand-in-hand with comparison. Trying to achieve something unobtainable will result in confusion and emptiness. Mentally go the extra mile and strive to see the positive in every situation. Shoot for perfection, and land in excellence. When things do not go your way, sometimes they turn out even better than expected.

Judgment

The sooner you master the concept, no human being is better than the other; the more content you will be. Every single individual makes mistakes. The moment you elevate a person above someone else is the moment you give in to small-minded thinking. Show the same mercy you would want to receive, and leave the judgment for the ultimate judge.

Self-Doubt

Even the smallest step in the right direction is progress, and one step closer to the person you want to become. Negative energy has the power to spread like weeds in your thoughts if you allow it to. Do not allow self-doubt to fill your mind. Your biggest cheerleader should be the one you see in the mirror every morning.

Worry

We have all seen an animal run in circles mindlessly chasing its tail, right? That is what we do when we worry. More often than not, we worry about situations out of our control, and it becomes nearly impossible to get our thoughts off of the what-ifs of a situation. The next time you feel the urgency to worry, find a place where you can be alone for a few minutes. Acknowledge the case, take five deep breaths to calm your nerves, and instead of focusing on the problem, note ways to move forward and be a part of the solution.

Complaining

No one likes a “negative Nancy.” People who always find themselves on the winning end of the blame game are the most unattractive. Instead of complaining, try your best to strive to see the good in every situation. Even if you wake up with a migraine, thank The Lord, you were blessed with the opportunity to wake up.
