Naan Bread

Naan Bread

Bread is delicious, universal, and hands down one of my favorite things to consume. The beauty of naan bread is, it is the perfect type of transition bread for dips and spreads. This two-ingredient naan recipe is ideal for a large party of family and friends to dive right in.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Yields: 8 servings

 Dough Ingredients:

- 4 cups self-rising flour

- 3 cups plain yogurt

Naan dressing:

- 1/3 cup butter, melted

- 2 tbsp garlic, crushed

Directions:

- Sift flour into a large mixing bowl

- Slowly incorporate yogurt, and fold with a spatula until a dough forms

- On a floured surface, knead the dough by hand for 5-8 minutes

- (Add more flour if the mixture still has a sticky consistency after 8 minutes)

- Let the dough rest for a least 10 minutes

All about the dough.

- Prepare naan dressing

- Mix 1/3 cup of melted butter and 2 tbsp of crushed butter to a small bowl

- Divide the dough into 5mm thick, equal parts

- Heat a medium-sized pan

- Fry the dough until both sides seem lightly charred about 2-3 minutes for each side

- Remove from pan and brush on garlic butter dressing

- Enjoy!

The beauty of such a diverse bread is it can be enjoyed with just about ant sauce, meat, or dare I say it, alone! This simple recipe provides a healthy alternative to heavy, greasy carbs. Meal prep naan and indulge morning, noon, and night with bold flavor and spices.
