Spinach Rolls

Spinach: also known as the chameleon of vegetables. Not only is it flavorful, but it also has an extensive list of benefits. Spinach is packed with iron, calcium, and magnesium. If fights cancerous cells, lowers blood pressure, and promotes bone health. So when you pair it with cheese and warm, flaky bread, it is your nonverbal way of telling your family or dinner party guests, "You're welcome."


Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Yields: 8 servings (2 rolls each)

Ingredients:

- 2 Tubes crescent rolls, Pillsbury 8 ct. each

- 4 oz Crumbled feta cheese

- 4 oz Shredded mozzarella cheese

- 3 oz Fresh baby spinach, chopped (about half of a pre-washed bag)

- 1 Egg white, beaten

- 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes

- Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

- Preheat oven to 350°

- In a large bowl mix together chopped spinach, cheeses, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper

- Set aside

- Unroll crescent dough and divide into triangles

- Using a spoon or your hands, place tiny heaps of spinach mixture onto the broader part of the dough triangle

- Carefully roll up the crescents

- Place on a greased baking sheet and brush the tops with egg white

- Bake for fifteen minutes or until golden brown

- Enjoy

This grab + go appetizer is perfect for when you have company. You do not have to follow this recipe verbatim for it to be delicious. You can mix it up and add a variety of different cheeses. There is no wrong way to prepare these delicious rolls.
