Change vs Transformation
Butterflies are nature's glitter. Early English translators believe they were once called flutterbys, and a scholastic error changed the name forever. Whether you loathe them or admire them, one thing is for certain; you cannot deny the beauty of their transformation. The process of a caterpillar morphing into a butterfly is not a simple change but a literal metamorphosis. A Christian lifestyle is not predicated on change, but the foundational element, transformation. If we profess to be like Jesus, we must not merely switch things up; we have to repent and daily live a lifestyle that honors The Lord.
• Changed people go to church
• Transformed people become disciples of Jesus
• Changed people want to see Jesus
• Transformed people want others to see Jesus in them
• Changed people change the way that they dress
• Transformed people change who they are
• Changed people read their Bibles
• Transformed people live according to the Bible
• Changed people tell people how they were saved
• Transformed people tell people what God has done since they have been saved
• Changed people invite Jesus into their life
• Transformed people make Jesus their life
A butterfly can never go back to being a caterpillar.
μεταμορφόομαιa: English Metamorphosis to change the essential form or nature of something. To 'become completely different' or 'become different from what you are.'
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
