Habits For The Happy & Healthy

Habits For The Happy & Healthy

It does not take much to be truly happy. Placing emotions in other people or things will always leave you wanting more. You have to have to learn how to develop an attitude of pure contentment. Here are five super simple ways to lead you to a happier lifestyle.

1. Water, water, water

Water is so essential to a healthy lifestyle, and when you are healthy, you're happy! Strive for one gallon every single day. For some, that might not be obtainable, but at least try sixty-four ounces (two liters) throughout the day. It helps cells rejuvenate faster and flushes the toxins out of the body. I consume a gallon of water every day and since I've started; my life has changed tremendously.

2. Monthly Check-ins

To grow in any area of life, you have to set goals. A monthly goal is healthy, and it helps you to work toward mentally being the best version of yourself. On the first of every month, write down at least three goals you want to achieve. Each week, take a step to complete something you wrote down. Each year could be a twelve-step program toward a better you.

3. Define your style

Home decor, clothing, and design all have the ability to change your mood for the better. When you establish what you like as an individual, you get to know yourself better. You can also help others understand what type of things you enjoy. Knowing what you want helps you almost mindlessly glide through the smaller decisions of life, and allows you to focus on more significant, more critical issues throughout the day.

4. Make healthy food work for you

We all have our go-to fruits and vegetables. If you love spinach and strawberries, find a way to incorporate that into your weekly intake. Meal prep a salad, or make a smoothie with those ingredients. If you stick with healthy things you love, you are sure to receive benefits. Add in a few healthy foods you might not care for, and now you are really an adult.

5. Identify areas of negativity

There is power in being self-aware. If you know you have a short temper, embrace that fact. Do not use it as a crutch, but acknowledge the shortcoming. The key to being the best version of yourself is two-fold: perfect your craft. Whatever your talent is, hone in on that and strive to be the best in that area. Second, label the areas of life that need work. Shed some light on the not so great things about you. Everyone has hang-ups; the key to growth is identifying what they are.

Feeling energized and refreshed can add a ton of value to your day. Perspective is everything. Happy days, lead to happy weeks, and over time, you can develop a life you love with these simple tricks.
